Job Summary: The Lithography Technical Manager will oversee the equipment and production conditions in the lithography department. This position will work with vendors to ensure all materials are best suited for the machinery as well as identify training needs for the lithography operators. Job Duties: Meets with the management team to determine production priorities and to monitor production standards. Manages lithography department personnel by interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating job performance, disciplining, scheduling work, and other related responsibilities. Manages lithography operations to ensure that all department needs are met and that resources are provided to obtain peak performance. Manages lithography parts and materials operations which support the manufacturing process as well as portions of new product development, process improvements, and equipment/tooling development. Provides managerial and technical support to assist others in achieving their assigned tasks. Maintains a safe & clean work environment and ensures that lithography employees are properly trained and follow safety and housekeeping procedures. Works with outside vendors and contractors for raw materials and other products consumed in the lithography manufacturing process. Authorized to stop production of manufactured products if quality problems arise. Report all potential food safety concerns to the quality assurance manager. Performs other related managerial tasks as directed by plant management. Qualifications and Experience Requirements: Education and experience equivalent to at least a Bachelor's degree with emphasis on printing and coating applications, engineering, manufacturing, tooling, etc. A minimum of 3 years of related managerial experience, with 5 years of extensive technical printing and coating application experience in a manufacturing environment.
