DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: PURPOSE: Responsible for regional Operations direction and for significant contributions to the formulation, development, implementation, and management of Company policies and business objectives for a region. Organizes, plans, directs, and controls all Operations functions. Develops policies, procedures, and training to ensure efficient and effective operations. Supervises and appraises the activities of subordinate managers and ensures services are professionally delivered and customers well served.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Responsible for the development and implementation of effective warehouse Operations planning and policy development. * Assists Senior Management with long and short-term Company planning while supplying expertise and guidance on operational projects and systems. * Executes established goals and ensures corporate-wide plans are complemented and supported. * Establishes, communicates,and implements Operations related, practices, standards and safety measures that further strategic priorities. * Develops and monitors P & L * Ensures the security and safety of Company property, equipment, and personnel. * Conducts periodic reviews of existing systems, products, and procedures. Provides recommendations regarding improvements in service delivery, processes, and equipment needs which will further the Company's objectives. * Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations. * Evaluates operational effectiveness through analyses of Department activity, on-site inspections, and other measurable criteria. * Responsible for ensuring the effective administration of Operations functions. * Oversees facility functions including maintenance, building improvements, and adherence to legal requirements. * Ensures Operations functions are well coordinated with related departments. Provides assistance as required. * Keeps Senior Management informed of activities, progress toward established objectives, and of any significant problems. * Encourages a culture of accountability with strong KPIs that facilitate focus and accurately monitor performance. * Assumes responsibility for ensuring professional business relationships are established and maintained with customers, vendors, the business community, and trade organizations. * Monitors service delivery and ensures excellence in service levels. * Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for location. * Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education/Certification: * Bachelor's Degree in business or equivalent related field.

Experience: * 10 plus years of operational and management experience.

Knowledge: * Knowledge of systems, WM, Voice, Automation, Labor Management and incentive planning, human resources, purchasing, facilities, security, and quality control procedures and programs * Understanding of related legal and regulatory requirements. * Knowledge of Company products and services.

Skills/Abilities: * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and managerial skills. * Demonstrated project management and implementation success. * Strong organizational skills.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/ DEMANDS: * Ability to lift to 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently. * Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operation * Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures. * Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment. * Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work related equipment. * Specific ision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
