General Summary

In collaboration with the WSRH Medical Director of Inpatient Rehabilitation and WSRH VP Medical Affairs, provides Physiatry services, diagnosis and treatment of patients within the scope of practice as defined by all applicable Federal, State and local laws, regulations and protocols, etc. and within the practitioner's particular clinical specialty area, licensure and competency level.

WellSpan Health is expanding our Physiatry services at WellSpan York Hospital (https://www.wellspan.org/offices-locations/wellspan-york-hospital/awards-recognitions/) , a tertiary care center for the WellSpan Health system . We are seeking a board qualified/board certified physiatrist to focus on inpatient consultation at our award-winning , teaching hospital in York, Pennsylvania.

Position Highlights:

  • Provide inpatient physiatry consultation for a 600-bed hospital

  • Cross coverage care at nearby WellSpan Surgery and Rehabilitation Hospital (https://www.wellspan.org/offices-locations/wellspan-surgery-rehabilitation-hospital/) with a collegial team of 4 physiatrists

  • Opportunity for some outpatient care

  • Leadership opportunity available for those with commensurate experience

  • Epic utilized at all WellSpan locations

  • Schedule is variable and adjustable

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or

  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Licenses:

  • Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or

  • Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

  • Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics or the American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics or Board eligible. Upon Hire Required and

  • Completion of a Pediatric residency. Upon Hire Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Administrative skills.
