Open Sky Community Services Construction Project Manager in Worcester, Massachusetts

Salary

USD $80,000.00/Yr.

Description and Responsibilities

Open Sky is seeking a skilled project manager to fill our newly created role of Construction Project Manager to support the continued growth of our agency. Under the direction of the Senior Director of Facilities, Maintenance and Real Estate, the project manager will manage comprehensive project plans including timelines, resource allocation and procurement strategies for all phases of construction projects. The right candidate will have an in-depth understanding of construction principles, techniques, building codes, safety regulations and best practices, including OSHA regulations.

Other Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish project objectives, scope, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and ensuring alignment with client requirements. Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on project status to stakeholders.

  • Coordinate and oversee construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules and specifications. Conduct regular site inspections to assess project progress, identify risks, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and legal requirements, prioritizing a safe working environment for all involved that is in compliance with all relevant regulations.

  • Provide regular updates and reports on project status, including milestones, budget updates, and any significant developments or risks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in construction management, project management, engineering, architecture, or a related field, required.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in construction project management or oversight in commercial and/or residential settings, required.

  • Understanding of construction principles, techniques, building codes, safety regulations and best practices, including OSHA regulations, required.

  • Must be able to read and interpret technical documents, including project blueprints and construction schematics.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to plan, manage, and prioritize multiple tasks effectively with excellent communication and collaboration skills, required.

  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record required.

  • PMP Certification is highly preferred but not required.
