Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team in the capacity of a Staff Accountant in Baltimore, Maryland. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for creating templates for the billing team, analyzing financial data, and asking pertinent questions when necessary. This role is an integral part of our team, contributing to the smooth and effective functioning of our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain templates to be used by the billing team

• Analyze financial data and provide accurate information

• Ask insightful questions to resolve any variances or discrepancies

• Utilize Microsoft Excel alongside other internal systems to fulfill job duties

• Contribute to the overall functioning of the financial team by performing other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role is required.

• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulations.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

• Exceptional ability to manage time and handle multiple tasks with flexibility.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Must have a customer service oriented approach.

• Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks, is desirable.
