Description:

Needs to be mechanically inclined and have a technical experience. They will be responsible for gas technician duties at landfill sites. This technician will be using gas meters (GEM500 or Envisions) to check gas levels and report on sites.

A typical day looks like:

Reading gas levels with a gas meter, providing daily/weekly/monthly reporting. Will also assist with cleaning pumps, running lines, light maintenance, inspection of gas wells, measuring gas tanks, assessing gas main heads, adjusting gas levels being sent to the flare etc.

May need to perform HDPE pipe fusion for repairs.

Will be on site at a landfill watching project work and assisting as needed. Will need to be able to walk up and down a landfill site and work outside in the elements. Inspecting and performing preventative maintenance on various pipe systems.
