Industry leading, very reputable and well established manufacturing company is looking for a promotable Maintenance Supervisor in the Winchester, VA area. This is not a remote or hybrid position so all candidates must be willing to work 100% of the time in a manufacturing plant.

This role comes with a very competitive compensation plan commensurate with experience with a base salary ranging from $85k to $95k plus a 15% annual target bonus and relocation assistance.

All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

responsibilities:

-Actively support Plant Safety and Environmental policies and procedures Assign jobs and tasks ensuring the availability of tools, parts, supplies, and equipment.

-Define clearly the scope of work, tools, and materials to complete each job efficiently and safely Conduct field supervision to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of direct reports

-Provide technical expertise as required to both mechanical and electrical resources Assist Maintenance Coordinator in developing a weekly schedule (manpower assignments)

-Coordinate departmental resources to effectively resolve emergent issues in a timely manner Execute the mechanical backlog in CMMS, prioritize work orders and planning activities to achieve optimum plant results

-Ensure employees are prepared for assigned jobs ahead of time (day before) Assist Maintenance Coordinator and Manager in the development of the 3-year maintenance cycle to include departmental budget and turnaround activities

-Continuously evaluate spare parts availability and recommend stocking levels. In conjunction with the planner, establish and maintain a system for proper storage of pre-works and parts for pending work

-Remain up-to-date on new technologies and techniques as related to the mechanical work Competent in SAP, Word, Excel, and other programs as they relate to the work at hand

-Carry out the development and implementation of mechanical improvements and modifications as a result of corrective actions or as requested by other departments.

-Control the use and coordinate the work of outside mechanical contractors ensuring compliance with all Plant policies and procedures

-Ensure employees carry radios and communicate effectively with all parties Ensure that break time and lunch times are controlled Enforce plant-specific Policies (No Smoking areas, LOTOTO, PPE, Etc.) Recommend job plan changes to Maintenance Planners Execute the schedule of planned work with assigned resources Understand and actively promote the importance of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Any other duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our policies

Education

Associate degree High school or GED Required Technical knowledge and certifications Associate degree or related certifications High school

Area of experience:

-5 years' experience in cement manufacturing or related heavy industry

-Prior Supervisory experience required strong mechanical background with experience as a skilled tradesperson required

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Good understanding of units of measure, both metric and standard strong analytical skills with the ability to perform mathematical functions Intermediate computer skills, prior experience in Microsoft Excel and SAP helpful Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and OEM maintenance plans

-Demonstrated ability to learn through formal training and work-related experiences Motivated with demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and to tight deadlines
