Siemens Digital Industries Software Software Engineer - C++ (Hybrid US) in Wilsonville, Oregon

We are looking for a highly motivated and capable software engineer to join the R&D team developing Design-for-Test (DFT) tools as part of the industry-leading Tessent product line. These advanced tools are vital to silicon validation of integrated circuits and are used by the world’s leading semiconductor companies to ship high quality parts in a large volume. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with wellknown experts in this area to create advanced algorithms for problems that have an industry-wide impact.

Development will be done in C++ on a Linux platform. The candidate must be able to design and implement high-quality, very efficient, and maintainable software solutions to complex problems. Additionally, the candidate is expected to be a fast learner and self-starter, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work effectively within a distributed team.

The position can be in-office or hybrid at any of our locations in the United States, Germany, Poland, or Canada.

Required Qualifications

• Masters (or higher) in Computer/Electrical Engineering, or other related field.

• 3+ years C++ programming experience.

• Understanding of software architecture best practices and object-oriented programming.

• Excellent and creative problem-solving skills, including skills with algorithms and data structures.

• Knowledge of digital logic design.

• Attention to details and high-quality work.

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in DFT is a strong plus.

• Hardware description languages: Verilog, SystemVerilog.

• Experience with software development on Linux, and development tools such as Git.

• Knowledge of machine learning methodologies.

The salary range for this position is $121,400 to $218,500 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
