We are seeking a Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our team. Your role will be to work closely with dental hygienists in treatinghygiene patients. Clinical duties include coronal polishing, taking radiographs, equipment preparation and sterilization, preparing patients for treatment, assisting the dentist or hygienist during treatment, and providing patients with instructions for oral healthcare procedures.

As a member of the Hygiene department, you will work with Dental Hygienists and Dentists and report to our Hygiene Team Leader. The working hours are Mondays-Thursdays 12:45p-7p with occasional Fridays and/or Saturdays 6:45a-1p.

What You Will Do:

• Build and maintain relationships with our patients and staff
• Becomefamiliar with doctors' restorative treatment philosophies
• Recordperiodontal examinations and existing restorations
• Recordclinical notes in the computer
• Take x-rays and intraoral photos per office protocols
• Educatepatients about their dental health as it relates to overall health and the importance of good oral hygiene, with instructions customized to their situation
• Sterilizeinstruments, setting up trays
• Maintain OSHA and HIPAA compliance
