Robert Half Purchase & Sales Specialist in Wilmington, Delaware

Description

We are seeking a skilled Purchasing Specialist in Wilmington, Delaware! This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the pharmaceutical industry. As a Purchase & Sales Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the procurement process and vendor management, ensuring that all purchasing functions are carried out effectively and in adherence to company guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Purchase Order (PO) process, ensuring compliance from requisition creation to dispatch to the supplier.

• Review and validate vendor contracts to ensure accurate specifications are documented and signed off by the appropriate signatories in accordance with the Signing Authorization Policy.

• Utilize the PeopleSoft system for routine purchasing tasks, including PO creation, maintenance, and closure.

• Coordinate the Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) with suppliers, lab staff, and operations.

• Resolve issues with suppliers and Accounts Payable as part of customer care responsibilities.

• Administer procurement guidelines appropriately and ensure adherence to the same.

• Leverage accounting software systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions for efficient procurement operations.

• Execute purchasing procurement functions and manage buying processes.

• Utilize SAP and Ariba systems for enhanced procurement operations.

• Collaborate with the purchasing department and corporate procurement for seamless operations

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchase and sales roles

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Buying Processes and Purchasing Procurement

• Excellent Communication skills

• Understanding of Purchasing Functions and Purchasing Department operations

• Experience with Corporate Procurement

• Proficiency in SAP and Ariba desired

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent negotiation and decision-making abilities

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or relevant field is preferred.
