Chemours is seeking an OT Cybersecurity Architect to join our growing Cyber & Information Security team. This position will report directly to the Senior Manager, Cybersecurity Digital Technology at our Wilmington, DE location.

We are in search of a visionary OT Cybersecurity Architect with an extensive cybersecurity background in process control engineering and industrial control systems (ICS). In this role, you will spearhead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge cybersecurity architectures tailored specifically to operational technology (OT) systems within the chemical manufacturing sector.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop and refine comprehensive cybersecurity architectures tailored specifically to process control systems in chemical manufacturing environments.

  • Conduct detailed risk assessments to identify architectural vulnerabilities and potential threats to operational technology (OT) systems.

  • Lead the design and implementation of robust security controls and measures within the architectural framework to protect critical infrastructure.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including process engineers and IT professionals, to integrate cybersecurity principles seamlessly into the architectural design.

  • Provide architectural expertise and leadership during cybersecurity incidents or breaches, ensuring swift and effective response measures are implemented.

  • Ensure architectural designs adhere to relevant cybersecurity standards and regulations, such as NIST, ISA/IEC 62443, and API 1164, through regular assessments.

  • Provide architectural guidance and training to OT and IT teams on cybersecurity best practices, ensuring awareness and adherence to architectural standards.

  • Evaluate and recommend cybersecurity tools and technologies aligned with architectural needs, overseeing their seamless integration into the environment.

  • Cultivate strategic partnerships with vendors and third-party providers to enhance the security architecture of OT systems and technologies.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the architectural framework, staying abreast of emerging threats and technological advancements to evolve and adapt architectural designs accordingly.

The following is required for this role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Or 10+ years of proven work-related experience in cybersecurity

  • 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on Operational Technology (OT) and industrial control systems (ICS).

  • Ability to provide architectural direction on the development and deployment of scalable security architectures for SCADA, DCS, PLCs, and other critical OT assets.

  • Experience with network architecture, segmentation strategies, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).

The following is preferred for this role:

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GICSP, or ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in real-time.

  • Prior experience working in the chemical manufacturing industry or similar process-intensive environments is a plus.

  • Proficiency in conducting architectural risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessments for OT systems.

Pay Range (in local currency):

$105,280.00 - $164,500.00

Annual Bonus Target:

11%
