Trinity Health ER Technician - Day Shift - Saint Francis Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware

Description:

Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking experienced ER Technicians to join the team in our Emergency Department!

Employment Type:

Full-time day Shift (7:00 am - 7:30 pm) / Every other weekend and rotating holidays

Serving Wilmington community and Northern New Castle County, the Emergency Department at Saint Francis Hospital is a Level III Trauma, 27-bed unit. We care for various types of patients and are the first and only Geriatric certified Emergency Department in Delaware. Our ER management team values and promotes a work life balance.

An Emergency Department Care Technician II, Under the direction and supervision of the nurses, preforms selected patient care task and other job-related duties including following detailed and specific instructions; matters not covered are verified with the nurse.

Minimum Requirements:

Two years prior clinical experience within St. Francis or another clinical setting

Education : High school graduate who has successfully completed either CNA/MA/EMT/EMT-P with a State or nationally registered license, also first semester Nursing student will be considered. Must maintain eight hours of continuing education in ED related competency AND a mandatory two in-services per year on critical care equipment and sterile fields OR must take a minimum six college credits in a health care degree seeking major AND a mandatory two in-services per year on critical care equipment and sterile fields.

Licensure/Certification: BLS (Annual Competency)
