Under the supervision of the designated supervisor, the CADD/GIS Operator performs routine and complex CADD and Arc GIS assignments for the preparation of drawings using AutoDesk and ArcMap products (Arc Pro, Arc Enterprise, Etc.). CADD assignments originate from Wichita, Topeka, Kansas City, and Grand Island Branch Offices. The position will have one workstation at two different locations in Wichita, Kansas.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs routine and complex drafting assignments, not limited to:

• Maps and Site Plans

• Geophysical Data Presentation

• Profiles, Cross Sections, Schematics, and Process Diagrams

• Prepares GPS for locating and staking boring/test locations and performs post-processing of accumulated GPS data.

• Follows all safety rules, guidelines, and standards including active participation in pre-task planning and reporting of safety issues or concerns to management

• Interprets groundwater flow and projection

• Maintains library of past drawings

• Maintains library of reference drawings

• Maintains licensure information for mapping software.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Geology or Engineering Science background or equivalent, preferred

• Knowledge of ArcGIS, AutoCAD and Microsoft office products, required

• Experience with ESRI, Surfer, RockWorks and/or GIS systems, preferred

• Knowledge for surveying-Township & Range, GPS Coordinate System, and Northern Eastern Coordinates System, preferred
