Trimble Inc. has an opening for a Senior Performance Test Engineer in Westminster, Colorado.

Duties: Build effective and efficient software. Research and maintain understanding of best practices in Software Engineering. Responsible for full SDLC activities, including product releases, upgrades, functional enhancements, defect resolution, and performance improvements. Develop and communicate implementation approach for assigned projects. Communicate status, risks, and other issues related to projects. Update Jira issues and participate in reviews. Conduct performance, scalability, stability, and reliability testing. Identify performance issues, recommend fixes and work with the teams to resolve them. Identify solutions for testing performance issues across entire stack. Gather information to create workload models and SLAs from stakeholders. Analyze test results and use debugging tools to identify the source of problems. Recommend solutions to optimize performance. Communicate issues detected during testing and provide feedback regarding possible causes. Read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, diagrams, data models, and process documents. May telecommute. $153,000 $163,000/year.

Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's progressive experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must include some experience in each of the following: 1) APM tools (New Relic and Dynatrace) to analyze and identify performance bottlenecks.; 2) Load testing tools (JMeter and LoadRunner); 3) Load generation platforms (BlazeMeter and LoadRunner); 4) Testing REST APIs; 5) Testing products built with Microsoft .NET technology stack (ASP.NET, VB/C#, and SQL Server) or MEAN stack (MongoDB, Angular, and NodeJS); 6) Programming languages (C#, VB.NET, Java, JavaScript, and Python); 7) Test scripting; and 8) Automation.
