Assisting the business function and/or Business Excellence Centers, as a Trade & Transportation Specialist, you will ensure that goods are shipped while meeting quality, legal and costs parameters. You will be responsible for local import/export for PAPI (Process Automation Process Industries) US (United States). Processes and ensures smooth execution of operational trade and customs activities within a local unit, including relevant documentation and compliance with regulations. Remote opportunity available. This position reports to Manager, Supply Chain Management 2 Your responsibilities Core Responsibilities: Processes daily import/export shipments and ensures smooth customs clearance via the appointed customs brokers Point of contact for customs brokers in case of clarification needs (example, regarding valuation or classification of products) Understands and applies relevant customs procedures and ensures the relevant declarations are correctly made Ensures the correctness of customs entries, invoicing and archiving Ensures all customs related records are maintained and archived correctly Provides reporting as required on day to day activities Manages the necessary documentation and online forms for the efficient, cost effective and lawful execution of all import/export activities Maintains and shares with colleagues, as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant import/export laws and procedures, tariffs, duties, licenses and restrictions in close cooperation with local and country Trade Compliance Officers Communicates with export and import related authorities and suppliers, as necessary, to ensure efficient execution Maintains relevant data in the local trade and customs applications (example, SAP Global Trade Services) Facilitates continuous review and improvement in the operational transport and trade/customs activities Supports the development and implementation of improved processes and systems and maintains master data License To Operate / Core Values: Demonstrates ABB's core values and group safety and integrity standards and acts accordingly Implements and ensures compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies and processes in their assigned area Ensures adherence to all relevant internal and statutory regulations and policies Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities Demonstrates an understanding of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) terms, concept application, reporting and risks Collaboration / Leadership: Ensures adherence to the collaboration objectives to maximize results for ABB Leads their own development journey by seeking knowledge and learning opportunities within the team Manages relationships with stakeholders in their own area of responsibility and ensures alignment Your background Bachelor's degree in a related field and 8 years of experience required Or Associate degree and 10 years of experience required Or High School diploma and 12 years of experience required Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US Benefits Retirement plan Life insurance Disability insurance Wellbeing program Healthcare plan More about us Process Industries division delivers complete electrification and automation solutions, industry-specific products and lifecycle ser
