Job Description:

  • Working with interface engines, including InterSystems IRIS, Edifecs, Epic Bridges, and Cerner FSI.

  • Maintaining interface engines, tools and databases to facilitate the exchange of clinical, financial and operational data.

  • Creating, configuring and maintaining multiple interface engines and their underlying databases to provide a stable environment for interfacing passing demographics, Master Data Management (MDM), Admissions, Discharges and Transfers (ADT), Orders, Results, Billing, and HIPAA financial transactions.

  • Working with integrated delivery networks, and regional and national health information exchanges.

  • Maintaining and administering databases used by IHC Health Service, Inc.’s interface engines and software programs that process data between health care IT systems.

  • Assisting in the design and implementation of redundant systems, policies and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of data assets.

  • Reviewing and maintaining reports from the interface system for data analysis and integrity.

  • Performing manual research and creating documentation relative to new configurations and processes related to interface engines.

  • Providing solutions to issues in areas related to databases and database-derived tools.

Position may telecommute three days per week from home within reasonable commuting distance of West Valley City, Utah.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of interface design principles

  • Knowledge of Linux, including scripting

  • Knowledge of HL7

  • Knowledge of X12

  • Knowledge of server administration and configuration, including account creation and configuration, permissions, and sound security principles.

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, SFTP, SSL, DNS, HTTPS.

  • Knowledge of Web based interfaces and their support

Upon hire, all applicants will be subject to drug testing/screening and background checks.

Salary (Annual): $80,000.00 – $88,000.00

Work Location: 4646 W Lake Park Boulevard, West Valley City, UT 84120; Position may telecommute three days per week from home within reasonable commuting distance of West Valley City, Utah.

Hours of work: Usually 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$38.79 - $61.06
