The Survey Chainman will support the Survey Party Chief in the field (outside) as required for design purposes, mapping, as-builts, ALTA, BLA, and Platting surveys, and construction staking survey work. Minimal desk work (logging of hours, possible calculations). May be required to walk over uneven or steep terrain for extended periods, successfully endure exposure to inclement weather, and to be aware of traffic hazards. Applicant should be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.  

Hourly rate depends upon experience. Full-time.  Weekdays, 4 days per week at 10 hours per day.  Currently Tuesday-Friday.  May revert to five days per week at eight hours per day as the schedule progresses. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.  Must have valid Washington State driver's license with no more than one (1) traffic infraction.  Must be able to read and write in English; Microsoft Office experience welcome but not totally necessary.   Prior land surveying or construction field experience a plus. Flagger safety training a plus; candidate will be expected to complete flagger training as soon as possible. Candidate may be asked to submit to drug screening and background checks.  References will be verified.
