Job Description Summary

The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator assists the Lead Clinical Research Coordinator in execution of MRI clinical studies performed at the GEHC Magnetic Resonance Center in Waukesha, WI. They must be able to take direction in a fast-paced environment and be self-directed when the Lead Coordinator is not present or available. They must possess excellent interpersonal skills to manage interactions with research subjects (volunteers from the general community) who come in for MRI scans, as well as GEHC MRI technologists and engineers. The role requires high attention to detail to manage study data that may be audited by FDA.

This role will work 2 days a week, up to 20 hours. The days can be flexible. There will be occasional times they will work 5 days a week for time off coverage.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Greet and escort subjects who come to the MRI facility for an appointment.

  • Ensure subjects are aware of the study purpose, procedures, and risks and provide written informed consent to participate.

  • Ensure subjects are screened for conditions that would exclude them from and MRI scan or the study.

  • Ensure subjects receive compensation for their participation and maintain records of the compensation.

  • Complete and maintain clinical study documentation in paper and electronic formats

  • Assist Lead Clinical Research Coordinator and Research manager in other tasks associated with this study

Required Qualifications

  • Technical, Associate, or Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, college, or training program related to healthcare, science, engineering, or other similar area.

  • 2+ years' experience within research

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Occasional weeks of flexible hours, including several weeks of full time per year (compensated).

Desired Characteristics

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college related to medicine, science, engineering, or other related area

  • Previous experience in clinical research and/or MRI is a plus.
