Ability Beyond Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Greater Danbury Region in Waterbury, Connecticut

Location(s): Danbury & New Fairfield

Hours: Full Time or Part Time: 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts (1 weekend day required for full time)

Pay Rate: $20 / hour

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Ability Beyond, you will collaborate with our dedicated direct care staff in our medical group homes. Your role is crucial in ensuring personalized care, medical supplies, and achieving individual goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Personalized Care: Ensure availability of personal care and medical supplies for individuals

  • Daily Living Support: Assist with personal hygiene, cooking, bathing, toileting, and transportation

  • Goal-Oriented Assistance : Provide hands-on support to help individuals achieve their goals

  • Community Integration: Facilitate the integration of individuals into the community for work, recreation, leisure, and volunteer activities

  • Medical Equipment Maintenance: Responsible for maintaining program and individual-specific medical equipment

  • Collaborative Medical Programs: Work closely with a clinical team in a group home setting with smaller, close-knit staffing ratios

    Qualifications:

  • Current, valid CNA Certification.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.

  • Valid Driver’s License is required.

  • One year of college or experience working with adults with disabilities preferred.

  • Must meet all requirements for state and/or agency requiring State Certification in Medication Administration.
