Patient Access/ED Representative

100% On-Site

Washington, DC (Northwest)

Job Description:

  • This opportunity is for a Patient Access/Emergency Department Representative in a busy DC area hospital.

  • The associate will assist with admitting patients, updating demographic information, and verifying insurance.

  • The associate will sit at the front desk of the Emergency Department collecting copays and registering patients, verifying the reason for their visit.

  • Attention to detail is a must!

  • Prior patient access or registration experience is required!

  • Candidates MUST be able to work occasional weekends and holidays.

Schedule: This position will be PRN and up to 30-40 hours a week based on need. It is a contract to hire job opportunity with benefits!

Shift: Evenings 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM AND/OR Overnights 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (must be flexible for both)

Training: Training will be on the day shift from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (must be available for training)

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma

  • 1+ year of patient registration expeirence
