The Patient Transporter safely transfers and accompanies patients to and from clinical and support areas utilizing wheelchairs and/or stretchers. Performs other non-patient care activities to ensure proper and expeditious movement of patients within the facility.

Work

Full time - evenings

Rotating 8 & 12 hour evening shifts and every other weekend (ex: 11am-11pm, 3pm - 11:30pm)

Able to read patient transport slip and write in unit logbook as applicable.

Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.

Ability to transport patients to and from various department locations via stretcher/wheelchair.

Physical ability to meet job demands. Job demands may include prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must be able to lift/transport adult patients and to operate required tools, instruments and equipment.

High school graduate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
