Montage Marketing Group Communications Manager in Washington, District Of Columbia

Montage is looking for a Communications Manager to join our growing team. Qualified candidates will have the skills, experience, and attention to detail needed to contribute to and support communication and marketing campaigns for a variety of diverse clients and communities.

This is a full-time, exempt position working a hybrid schedule at Montage's McLean, VA and Rockville, MD offices, and the employee's home office. The anticipated annual salary for this position is $75,000 – $80,000.

About the Role

Serving on a broader team of experienced communications and marketing personnel, the Communications Manager will be responsible for creating and executing communications and marketing campaigns for government, private, and public sector clients. This role includes campaign execution, implementation and scheduling, content creation, copywriting, client interaction, and other specific campaign and project-related responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience providing effective and proven communications and marketing programs, initiatives, or campaigns.

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related field preferred.

    Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development – Participate in brainstorming sessions and support the development of communications strategies.

  • Content and Copywriting – Direct and support content and copy creation for an assortment of marketing and communications products, including brand material, digital and social content, printed material inclusive of advertising copy, earned media content, speechwriting, and other technical writing.

  • Relationship Management – Establish and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels.

  • Creative Collaboration – Work closely with in-house creatives and external partners to ensure cohesiveness and quality in written and visual communications products.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Experience creating communication work products (digital and print) including, but not limited to talking points, fact sheets, newsletter articles, press releases, project status reports, case studies, scriptwriting, video production, and social media (content calendars and online content creation).

  • Ability to easily communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

  • Experience working on marketing and communications campaigns and programs.

  • Self-starter, inquisitive, creative, innovative, and solutions-oriented.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong decision-maker, independently or as part of a team.

  • Ability to negotiate position's duties and responsibilities, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and obtain consensus on a range of work projects and assignments.

  • Poise and confidence with communicating and interacting with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Understanding and knowledge of earned media development and distribution, including tools like PR Newswire/Cision, Meltwater, and Klear.

  • Superior time management skills.
