Aptiv Plant Cost Accountant-J000668045 in Warwick, Rhode Island

This is a job for a Plant Cost Accountant position with a company located in Warwick, RH.

Job Summary: This position directly supports Connection Systems manufacturing operations in various financial activities.  The analyst will report to the Plant Controller and will perform tasks associated with monitoring financial performance across the business. Responsibilities: Assist in budget, forecast and analysis of plant controllable costs. Track operating costs and analyze versus monthly forecast. Prepare month end journal entries. Reconcile hourly payroll posting to manufacturing work schedule. Coordinate with manufacturing team OEE, COPQ, I-Nexus and E-matrix reporting. Analyze and review BOMs for accuracy and reasonableness. Review all engineering change for impact to BOM, material cost and margin. Analyze all variance accounts (PPV/POV). Coordinate with logistics on all matters. Assist PCL group with all cycle counts, physical inventories, inventory adjustments, and Excess and Obsolete inventory. Prepare product mix analysis. PVS analysis. Assist with the forecasting process for all material and inventory related costs. Support finance / operations activities when Controller is out of office. SOX Compliance and Awareness.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance. 3+ Years' experience in Finance, manufacturing operations activities. Hands-on Inventory Management experience - cycle counts, etc. Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience/familiarity with SAP.

Additional Background Preferences: Master's degree in Business. 5+ years' experience working in an manufacturing environment. Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Project, Excel, Outlook, Skype, Teams, Visio, etc.) Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization. Public accounting experience with manufacturing clients. Strong results-orientation and execution characteristics. Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to work with a team. Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions and solve problems independently. Resourcefully innovate and adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
