Cleveland Clinic Pharmacy Department Analyst in Warrensville Hts, Ohio

Participates in the implementation of the clinical information systems. Develops and tests the functionality of applications. Participates in project teams and with clinical departments to complete the implementation of clinical systems. Assists with training programs related to automated systems.

This role will be 100% on-site Monday-Friday. No weekends, holidays, or evenings involved. There will be occasional on-call support and travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Interacts with end-users to define problems.

  • Coordinates and conducts education and end-user training programs to ensure systems are utilized as designed.

  • Assists with end-user documentation development or a permanent reference for clear, concise information.

  • Provides implementation assistance for system projects through all phases of the system development life cycle with direction from Lead Analyst.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required.

  • High School diploma/GED and one year of relevant experience, plus an additional four years of healthcare IT experience can substitute for work experience.

  • Associate's degree and one year of relevant experience, plus an additional two years of healthcare IT experience can substitute for work experience.

Certifications:

  • Experience typically supported by license in a medically related field such as nursing, pharmacy assistant, medical assistant, medical technology or EMT.

  • Technical certification may be required.

  • For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of position start date.

Complexity of Work:

  • Must demonstrate effective communication and analytical skills.

  • Familiar with the processes and procedures related to health care regulatory agencies.

  • In depth knowledge of clinical theory and practice. ​

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of one year of applicable hospital or major medical center clinical experience or one year of recent experience supporting a major clinical information system required.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite & Microsoft Teams.

  • Prior project management experience.

  • Ability to work independently and to be resourceful.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once; strong time management skills.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Prior healthcare experience preferred.

  • Ability to pursue CPhT from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.

  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.

  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $25.13

Maximum hourly: $38.33
