Bring your 3PL experience and knowledge in chemical management service and supply chain management to Serco and make an impact towards our military defense while ensuring accurate and timely delivery of the right HM in support of WR-ALC aviation maintenance mission performance.

This position is contingent upon contract award and this po sition is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain your DoD Secret clearance.

Serco supports the US Air Force as a prime for their Chemical Management Services performed for Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Aviation supporting the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex operation. Our team provides support and performs the full range of CMS requirements that includes 3PL end to end supply chain and inventory management.

You will work on site in the Serco storage facility and plan and execute specific Supply Chain Management functions, DOD logistics policies and initiatives, and perform financial management procedures and play a leading role for a large logistics team that works closely with the customer to deliver quality logistics support to ensure the readiness of CMS.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and oversee overall supply chain operations including purchasing and inventory of HM and selection of vendors and interact with customers to ensure that all requirements are being met.

  • Evaluate historical procurement data to forecast needs and production levels and implement purchasing methods and processes geared toward best-value purchasing to obtain, when practical, the lowest delivered costs for HM and services.

  • Be involved in strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of the operations and ensure that issues regarding new/existing products are resolved in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

  • Direct supply chain policies, objectives, and initiatives while overseeing the contract inventory, warehousing, distribution and transportation functions.

  • Deliver customer driven standardization programs reducing the volume and number of different chemical products and services within specific product lines to provide volume purchase discounts and more efficient operations; and generate cost savings through reduced HM usage and HW disposal costs.

  • Implement standardized and consistent chemical management services intended to provide optimum, timely, and flexible support capabilities for support of the WR-ALC maintenance, overhaul, and repair of its weapons systems and related equipment.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • An active DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

  • 3 years’ experience using a HM Tracking System equivalent to EnterpriseEnvironment, Safety, and Occupational Health Management Information System (EESOH-MIS).

  • 5 years’ experience in the field of CMS and end-to-end supply chain management.

  • Possess experience and familiarity with commercial 3PL sourcing and inventory management procedures and extensive experience with environmental program management.

  • Experience in conducting various supply procurement, logistics and or analysis, studies and project management tasks.

  • Located close enough to Robins AFB to meet periodically with DLA Aviation and WR-ALC management and attend production meetings as required.

Additional Desired or Preferred Experience, Skills, Education and Certifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree Business, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, or a related field and related to the Job Description listed above.

  • Experience in conducting various supply procurement, logistics and or analytic studies and project management tasks to ensure appropriate stocking levels.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and proven decision-making skills

  • 5+ years of managing third-party logistics relationships,demand base sparing ideology to fulfill needs and avoid waste

  • 5+ years of experiencepackaging, placarding of and shipment oflarge freight

  • Strong ability to operate and manage projects efficiently and effectively acrosslogisticsfunctions

  • Strong ability to operate and manage projects efficiently and effectively across functions

  • Lean Six Sigma experience

  • BI, SQL, Tableau experience

  • Experience working with remote teams across different geographic region

  • Experience with Air Logistics/ DLA Distribution which includes personnel, parts and equipment for F-15, C-130, C-5 and C-17 aircraft, target acquisition systems, and most airborne electronic warfare systems

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $62,000.00 to $101,000.00; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
