Responsibilities You will ensure the accuracy and validity of monetary entitlements associated with the expenses claimed and authorized on a travel claim. You will develop specialized queries and manipulate the data sets necessary to produce reoccurring reports that show timelines and accuracy trends. You will plan work, set priorities, and schedule work as necessary to assure effective and expeditious accomplishment of priority work without adverse effect on regular, recurring work. You will assign work to subordinates, develop performance standards and evaluate employee performance, provide oversight, advice, and instruction, and interview candidates for hiring, promotions, etc. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting in the maintenance of travel claim processing; 2) Conducting independent studies and investigations of military travel issues as directed; 3) Reviewing management actions and periodic reports to determine that previously identified deficiencies have been corrected; 4) Researching issues and preparing correspondence in response to controversial, sensitive, and significant issues; and 5) Identifying causative situations and recommending corrective actions as necessary.
