Senior Staff Application Engineer

Job Description

As a Senior Staff Systems Engineer in our Performance Computing Power team, you will contribute to the development of cutting-edge, high-density power solutions. By directly engaging the most influential customers in the AI/hyper-scale data center markets, you will ensure that our products solve the most pressing problems. You will engage cross-functionally with a diverse team including marketing, software engineering, IC design, and other applications engineering teams to deliver the industry’s most innovative power solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead key technical engagements with Tier 1 global customers to secure strategic advantage through technology leadership and partnership.

  • A broad comprehension of power conversion is required, including familiarity with digital PWM controllers, magnetics, and system-level modeling.

  • Technical Leadership: Leverage deep domain experience to provide guidance to multi-disciplined development teams. Ensure teams are focused on winning solutions.

  • System Level Modeling: Combine PWM controller, power stage, and PDN models to provide critical, decision-making guidance to both product development and customer engagements.

  • Customer Engagement: Secure strategic position through technology leadership and partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Education: BS, MS, or PhD degree in engineering (EE – power electronics preferred).

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant semiconductor experience.

  • Deep technical strength in high-performance multiphase power management related to CPU’s and other high current ASIC’s.

  • Excellent communication skills, including customer facing, to create the capability to own major technical engagements.
