The Senior Snowflake data engineer will play a key role in the design, development, implementation and support of a large-scale enterprise platform to deliver cutting edge data science and AI solutions at a global scale.

Reporting to the Vice President of Data Science and Analytic Solutions, the role includes working closely with cross-functional teams across all of Manpower Groups brands and business functions at a global scale. The senior data engineer will work in partnership with technology, business and data science teams across multiple geographical locations.

Making an Impact

• Work on new, less-defined projects that require understanding full scope of business user stories, formulating well defined and documented solutions and effectively communicating the solution approach to end-users

• Design new scalable data analytics warehouse from concept through implementation including conceptual, logical and physical architectures

• Form partnerships and socialize progress and impact of new architecture and project deliverables

• Proactively research and recommend approaches, solutions and technologies to best achieve stated goals

People Leadership

• Mentor junior data engineers and team members

Your Typical Day and Other Key Details

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines in Snowflake to support data ingestion and processing from variety of disparate data sources

• Design, develop and maintain complex data models to support variety of AI and analytic needs

• Implement automated processes through various orchestration tools and maintain all processes to fully operationalize all new features and functions

• Design and implement robust end-to-end data governance processes to ensure integrity of all data products

• Monitor and resolve work request and change tickets in a timely fashion

Required

• 5 years expertise in Snowflake designing large scale data pipelines and supporting Snowflake data warehouses

• 5 years experience with Snow SQL working with large complex data architectures

• 3 years experience with SQL writing complex queries, scripts, stored procedures.

• Excellent communication skills at all levels of an organization

• Bachelors degree preferably in data related field or equivalent work experience

Nice to Have

• 3 years experience using python in a data related capacity

• Snowflake certification(s)

• Experience with Cortex and Streamlit in a Snowflake environment
