Job Description
Perform experiments involving laboratory mice to address the gut-liver crosstalk in the context of the pathophysiology of obesity-associated inflammation and metabolic diseases such as hepatic steatosis and systemic insulin resistance.
Perform experiments involving primary cells to address cellular insights of inflammatory responses of intestinal cells and immune cells (e.g., macrophages)
Other duties as required
Required Education:
PhD in a relevant area of life science or biomedical sciences, including but not limited to metabolism and integrative physiology.
Preferred Experience:Experience in murine physiology and animal handling.
Previous experience in studying gut microbiota and metabolites.
A solid publication record, evidenced by peer-reviewed first-authorship publication(s) in nutrition, obesity, metabolism, or related fields.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Good communication and computer skills.
Ability to multi task and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent skills in biochemical and cell assays in fields of metabolism (e.g., PCR, immunoblots, and cell culture).Computational skills in analyzing multi-omics data.Solid knowledge in obesity and unhealthy nutrition-associated metabolic diseases.
