DocMatter Inc. Manager, Clinical Engagement Team in United States

We have built a peer-to-peer collaboration platform that facilitates knowledge transfer across a global network of healthcare professionals. As the Manager of the Clinical Engagement team, you will be responsible for overseeing the individual team members that work directly with our clinician users, and for driving the success of clinician-facing projects that contribute to strategic alignment with our partners from medical device and pharmaceutical companies, and medical societies. You will work to align the team's efforts and projects with overall company KPIs in support of the clinicians and researchers who use DocMatter to collaborate.

Responsibilities

**Please note, we are a small team and read all resumes and cover letters personally. We are looking for someone with people management experience who has also personally developed tools for performance and KPI management. Team Management

  • Manage a team of individuals responsible for clinician relationships and content strategy on the DocMatter platform

  • Foster a collaborative and performance-based culture to achieve team goals and objectives

  • Provide individualized coaching, mentoring, and performance management

  • Create and manage individual performance and development plans, conduct regular performance reviews and goal-setting sessions with team members

  • Translate team and account strategy, in collaboration with Director of Clinical Engagement and Customer Success team, into individual goals, measures, and objectives

  • Foster a positive team culture by promoting open communication, encouraging teamwork, and recognizing team member achievements

Training and Development

  • Organize and facilitate trainings and workshops related to key skill development

  • Build documentation to support onboarding, training, and team processes

Data & Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations of the Clinical Engagement Team

  • Maintain reports and project management system to reflect team’s performance

  • Build and maintain a KPI tracker/dashboard with support of operations that supports individual team members in prioritizing work, and allows for coaching and support

Recruiting & Onboarding

  • Lead recruiting, hiring, and onboarding process to support team growth needs

  • Develop and implement comprehensive new hire training program to ensure smooth onboarding and integration of new team members

Requirements

  • Experience Requirements:

  • People Management Experience: At least 4+ years of experience in managing and scaling teams in dynamic environments. Experience must include oversight of cross-functional projects and teams of individuals performing diverse functions. Please note, this is not a clinician or clinic management role. Management experience must extend beyond the oversight of clinicians performing clinical duties.

  • Recruiting and Hiring: Demonstrated experience in recruiting, hiring, and building teams, particularly in healthcare or tech-related fields.

  • Remote Team Management: Proven ability to manage and lead distributed, remote teams effectively.

  • Healthcare Background: Strong background in healthcare with the ability to understand and interpret clinical and scientific content.

  • Training and Onboarding: Experience in developing and delivering comprehensive training and onboarding programs tailored to diverse teams, with a track record of effectively integrating new team members.

  • KPI Development: Experience building and managing team-level KPIs in service of high-level organizational goals.

  • Process Development and Refinement: Experience using data to design, implement, reconstruct, and optimize internal processes to improve efficacy and achievement of KPIs.

  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication skills and a high degree of emotional intelligence, with success building strong interpersonal relationships with team members from a leadership position.

  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail in all aspects of work, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.

  • Preferred Requirements:

  • Start-Up Experience: Experience working in a start-up environment or a fast-paced team, showing adaptability and growth.

  • Experience working with clinicians: This requirement does not pertain to the management of clinicians, as previously noted. Rather, we are looking for an individual who understands the clinical environment, has experience communicating with clinicians, and demonstrates appreciation for the workflows and challenges of clinician.

  • Medical Device/Pharmaceutical Experience: Background in working with medical device or pharmaceutical companies, understanding industry-specific challenges and regulations.

  • Additional Considerations:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree required. Candidates with <4 years of experience post-bachelor’s degree may not meet the criteria.

  • Recent Professional Focus: We are looking for a candidate with recent experience building and scaling teams. Candidates who have not held relevant positions in recent roles may not meet the criteria. Ideal candidates should have demonstrated strategic alignment and operational improvement in recent roles, including a track record of enhancing processes and operational efficacy while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
