Intelligence Manager - Training

Provides direct support to the Intelligence Operations Division by developing and maintaining all training requirements for the Intelligence and GSOC functions within Allied Universal, as well as compliance, quality control, and logistical requirements of the Allied Universal Executive Protection and Intelligence Services.

Job Details

Duties & Qualifications:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Serve as the instructional systems design (ISD) subject matter expert. Provides oversight of the ISD/ADDIE process and responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating Intelligence and GSOC training programs.

  • Develops long-term training strategy, objectives, and milestones consistent with the Intelligence Operations Division mission.

  • Initiates projects and serves as project manager to determine project scope, time schedule, constraints, and fiscal/budgetary components.

  • Liaises with the Training Operations Group, Embedded Team Leads, other AUS business units, independent contractors, and other subject matter expert stakeholders to design and develop training program deliverables, including course syllabus, training schedules, instructor guides, student lesson plans, practical labs, situational training exercises, logistical support plans, course examinations, course evaluations, and other training media.

  • Designs and develops training programs of various modalities, including live instructor-led, remote/virtual, blended-learning, on-demand, student-centered, and other training delivery modalities to meet the needs of embedded clients and other training stakeholders.

  • Develops curricula to meet accepted industry and government standards, including development of comprehensive training plans, instructor guides, presentations, videos, scenarios, exercises, course materials, logistical frameworks, templates, examinations, and all other requisite elements.

  • Conducts audits of Intelligence and GSOC course deliveries during the initial pilot course and in two calendar year increments for the purpose of validating curricula, recommending modifications, and meeting quality control and compliance requirements.

  • Develops the Intelligence Operations Division (IOD) Training Standard Operational Procedures document and provides oversight.

  • Develops the Intelligence Operations Division training staff code of conduct to establish and maintain training professionalism, consistency, and relevance.

  • Provides oversight and management the IOD Microsoft Teams/SharePoint channel to ensure proper filing, maintenance, distribution, ad quality control of training products.

  • Liaises with external instructional systems design specialists, learning and development specialists, educators, and other related experts for the purpose of ensuring IOD and AUS policies, programs, systems, procedures, and material assets are relevant and practical.

  • Supports all Intelligence and GSOC training programs by conducting quality control and compliance audits of training products.

  • Mentors, coaches, and provides guidance to the training managers, FTE instructors, 1099 independent contractors, role players, and project support personnel.

  • Supports accreditation and certification of curricula and training programs as required.

  • Collaborates with all levels of Allied Universal Executive Protection and Intelligence Services operational and administrative leadership to ensure employees meet requisite training and compliance standards.

  • Interfaces with all departments and divisions within Allied Universal Executive Protection and Intelligence Services to identify challenges, promote best practices, and facilitate solutions.

  • Provides consultation and support to Allied Universal Executive Protection and Intelligence Services clients. Supports business development objectives with regard to training and other services as requested, including planning and project management for client training programs.

  • Assists in the deployment, maintenance, and management of training, records, and compliance databases and online learning management platforms.

  • Assists with compliance objectives and operational initiatives, including site/ personnel/ equipment inspections, assessments, recommendations, and facilitation of licensing and certification requirements.

  • Assists with tracking and assessment of key performance indicators for the Intelligence Operations Division, including budgetary requirements, to ensure projects are completed appropriately.

  • Prioritizes incoming challenges and takes either unilateral or coordinated action to address challenges or opportunities. Follows through on projects and initiatives until successful completion, often with deadline pressures.

  • Supports the organization’s mission of “Keeping clients safe, happy and productive.”

  • Supports additional projects, programs, and special taskings as directed by leadership.

Job Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Degrees in Intelligence, Business Administration or related field highly preferred.

  • A minimum of 5 year in the supervision of a training staff of 5 or more personnel.

  • A minimum of 5 years of documented experience in the use and application of the Instructional Systems Design (ISD) and/or the Systems Approach to Training (SAT) model(s).

  • A minimum of 3 years of documented experience as an instructor of a military, law enforcement, or formal intelligence program

  • Extensive Experience in the use of a Learning Management System (LMS)

  • A minimum of 10 years of combined operational experience in government, military, law enforcement, or private sector Intelligence positions

  • Ability to seamlessly interact with a diverse corporate culture and team

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Experience developing online/web-based training programs

  • Experience in developing training strategy, milestones, objectives

  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products

  • U.S. issued passport and current driver’s license

  • Previous experience in intelligence and SOC operations (military, government, or corporate) is required. A strong base of knowledge in all facets of intelligence and GSOC operations required.

  • Must possess strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to build client and employee relationships using remote communication tools (e.g., phone, e-mail, conference calls, web training, etc.)

  • Must have effective listening skills and be open to different and new ways of doing things.

  • Must have the capacity to cope with unexpected developments and act decisively using sound judgement.

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented management environment with the ability to work independently.

  • Analytical and process-oriented mindset

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, complex situations, a diverse team of employees and client requirements on an ongoing basis.

  • Must have excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload and execute in a fast-paced environment.

  • Displays a consistent demeanor; responds well under pressure while maintaining a positive outlook.

  • Travel to client locations as needed(normally a minimum of 18 trips per year); often with short notice.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the corporate motor vehicle insurance policy.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary is $78,970, based on experience, training and other related qualifications
