Job Description
Responsibilities
Participates with faculty in the development of experiments, conducts field and laboratory work, installs and maintains research/demonstration plots under the supervision of a resident faculty member.
Analyzes and maintains detailed records of data and prepares written summaries of results for inclusion in reports and manuscripts. Collects background information to be included in technical and non-technical publications.
Utilizes computers to gather background research, conduct literature reviews and to generate statistical displays and reports.
Assist in ensuring availability of proper research equipment and laboratory supplies and procures supplies when necessary.
Other research or experimental duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience
- B.S. degree in relevant field. (Agricultural and Biological Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science).
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience with conducting field data collection and the analysis and presentation of data
Familiarity with appropriate laboratory and technical equipment.
Ability to effectively utilize computer and applicable software for data management and presentation.
Excellent communication skills.
Highly organized
Ability to function as a part of a team
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge and understanding of the mission and role of the land Grant University System
Appointment:
- 1-year renewable depending on availability of funds.
