WHEN YOU JOIN US, YOU WILL BE:

  • Working with different plants to overcome production problems and improve safety systems.

  • Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team to help develop and own the electrical equipment design that provides the functionality required based on internal standards and user requirement specifications.

  • Providing complete electrical assistance including troubleshooting, project engineering and project management to Plants.

  • Updating existing legacy technologies to current standards when required.

  • Keeping current with the latest technologies to provide relevant electrical design consolation.

  • Programming automation and control systems and improving existing PLC programs including servo drives and A/C drives to help manufacturing efficiency.

  • Responsible for electrical project management including scheduling, financial, and contractor management.

  • Responsible for project designing, testing, and commissioning work with both current equipment configuration modifications and new systems.

  • Responsible for labor-hour estimation, work planning, scheduling, coordination, and reporting.

  • Acting as corporate resource for automation system developments and implementations.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Has 5 plus years related work experience working with/on PLC’s, HMI’s, Servos, VFD’s, electrical, hydraulics, controls, and pneumatics.

  • Electrical Engineering Technology diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or Equivalent experience as an Industrial Electrician.

  • Excellent English verbal and written skills.

  • Understands how to read and translate the information found within all: PLC code, Schematic wiring, One-line, and P&ID process diagrams.

  • Experience with AB PLCs, “Studio 5000”, HMI, VFD’s, Servo, Sensors, Instrumentation, and industrial control systems.

  • Possess knowledge of and apply electrical standards, including National Electrical Code and UL508a, apply safe electrical work practices including LOTO and Arc Flash safety - NFPA 70e.

  • Knowledge of Industrial Ethernet Networks and network communication standards.

  • Skilled in use of electrical test equipment including voltmeters, amp meters, process meters, network analyzers and other testing devices to troubleshoot electrical issues.

  • Understands and is familiar with safety systems for plant equipment such as safety PLCs, E-stops, safety relays, and light curtains.

  • Possesses an understanding of calibration procedures for process instruments, which measure temperature, pressure, flow, level and composition, along with an understanding of process controls and troubleshooting.
