ManpowerGroup Content Strategy Manager in United States

The Content Strategy Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the buyer's journey, drives conversions, and guides potential customers through the sales funnel.

They will oversee the creation and management of marketing and sales enablement content across various channels to enhance brand engagement and drive business growth. This role requires a deep understanding of audience needs (both B2B and B2C), as well as the development and delivery of persuasive content that aligns with the company's marketing objectives. The Manager, Content Services, is responsible for coordinating content creation by providing strategic inputs to develop unique content strategies across ManpowerGroup brands in North America to be deployed across marketing channels (email, social, websites, etc.) and sales-oriented channels (proposals, sales emails, pitches, etc.). This role leads a team of content professionals, and ensures content aligns with ManpowerGroup's messaging guidelines. With a focus on content as a “conversion tool” (B2B leads, B2C candidate applications) and relationship builder, this role demands a combination of creativity, strategic thinking, and data-driven decision-making to optimize content performance and support the company's marketing efforts effectively.

Making an Impact

• Leads brand content strategy development, working with brand marketing to identify key messaging and value propositions to be communicated across different stages of the buyer's journey.

• Conduct a comprehensive audit of the existing content on the website to identify gaps and areas where additional content is needed. Analyze competitor content and industry benchmarks to understand market standards and expectations.

• Map out content plans aligned with different stages of the buyer's journey, ensuring relevant and targeted messaging for awareness, consideration, decision, and retention stages. Prioritize content creation based on potential impact, audience needs, and business objectives.

• Guides their team to collaborate with the brand and digital marketing team to distill key messaging and data into compelling visual presentations that support client pitches, proposals, and marketing initiatives aimed at achieving new business, customer retention, and growth. Plan and manage the distribution of content across various channels to reach the target audience effectively, including the creation of a detailed content calendar that schedules and tracks all content production activities.

• Provides strategic input to team to develop and execute effective (and measurable) SEO content strategies. Ensure it aligns with the company's marketing objectives.

• Analyze performance data from previous content initiatives to inform future strategies.

• Ensures resources are optimized and timelines remain efficient to drive more immediate impact to the business.

Sharing Expertise

• Recommends and implements workflow improvements for both individual tasks and departmental processes.

• Provides insights to the content development team and acts as player/coach where needed on strategic/complex initiatives. Create and oversee the creation of high-quality, persuasive content that drives conversions, including website copy, blog posts, email campaigns, and landing pages.

• Communicate with digital team to gather input and insights for content creation.

• Coordinate with the design team for visuals and graphics that complement the content in support of activating always on content calendars

• Collaborate with the marketing team to align content with ongoing campaigns and promotions.

• Works as a strategic partner with the brand/product marketing directors

• Collaborate with the web development team to ensure technical SEO aspects are implemented correctly.

• Encourage contributions and content ideas from across the organization to diversify and enrich the content pool.

• Establish guidelines and standards to maintain high-quality and consistent content that aligns with the brand voice and messaging

Gaining Exposure

• Makes recommendations and influence on internal team members and provides design and/or strategic direction to fellow team members on priority and workflow.

• Coordinate with business SMEs and go-to stakeholders for marketing, proposal, and sales enablement content.

• Works with peer team managers to optimize team’s contributions and foster collaboration.

• Continuously test and optimize content for performance, employing A/B testing and analytics to improve conversion rates.

Your Typical Day

• Provide processes, templates, guidance and support to team members, answer questions, and offer feedback on ongoing projects.

• Analyze performance data from previous content initiatives to inform future content strategies. Report on the success of the content strategy in relation to marketing and business goals.

• Edit and review content created by team members for accuracy, quality, and consistency with brand guidelines.

• Identify training needs for team members and plan for skill development.

• Provide guidance on industry trends and best practices to keep the team updated.

• Partner with digital team to Prepare regular reports on content performance and share insights with the marketing and management teams.

• Stay abreast of content marketing trends, customer insights, and industry changes to keep the content strategy ahead of the curve.

Other accountabilities as assigned

Required

• Education: High School Diploma

• Experience: 6-8 years of marketing support, project management, marketing content writing, marketing management, training, digital marketing, communications, proposal writing, SEO strategy and implementation, or other related experience.

• Strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture and map out effective content plans.

• Proven experience in content strategy development, with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful content campaigns.

• Proven experience in SEO content management, with a track record of improving organic search performance with content and using content as a digital conversion method.

• 1-2: years of team leader/manager experience

• Strong proficiency in MS Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint

• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Comfort in using dashboard, Google Analytics, SEMrush and the like.

• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

• Passion for staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in content marketing.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field

• Staffing industry experience

• Asana or other workflow management tool experience
