Job Title: Certified Nurse Assistant

Base Rate: $17.81 - $24.93

12 hr. shifts- overtime is paid after 8 hours, resulting in an average rate of $20.78 – $29.09

Job Summary: Performs under the supervision of a licensed nurse, provides individually assigned patient care activities based upon established patient care policies and procedures. Participates in patient care as an active member of the health care delivery team. Specific areas of responsibility include monitoring of patient vital signs, providing patient hygiene and comfort measures, assisting with medical procedures and fulfilling nutritional needs. Reports to Licensed Nurse, Charge RN, Nursing Director

Essential Job Duties:

  • Demonstrates proficiency in providing safe, effective patient care including but not limited to: ADL’s, Mobility and Safety Concerns

  • Able to accurately document pertinent patient information including but not limited to:Vital Signs, Intake and Output, Height / Weight and Other care observations.

  • Demonstrates ability to correctly operate equipment and maintain a safe environment

  • Provides patient care in accordance with hospitals policies and procedures, regulatory standards and fulfills other job duties as requested within their scope

  • Serves as a role model for the Mission, Vision and Values of the organization and fulfills other job duties as requested within Scope of Practice

  • Maintains current competencies as well as updated knowledge in specific area of practice

Education/Experience:

  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

  • At least six (6) months prior experience preferred.

Licensure/Certifications:

  • Current California Certified Nurses Aid Certificate

  • Current BLS for Healthcare Provider card
