General Description:**

The Senior Project Engineer is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of complex engineering projects within an organization. This position requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget. Define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders and project team members. Develop project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies to optimize project execution and resource utilization. Manage project risks, issues, and changes, and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and delays. Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, vendors, and subcontractors, to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders, highlighting achievements, milestones, and potential risks. Conduct project reviews, lessons learned sessions, and post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions for future projects. Mentor and coach junior engineers and project team members, providing guidance and support to foster professional development and growth.

Work Experience Requirements:

Space or Aircraft design experience required Minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering project management or a related field. Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget. Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.

Educational Requirements (or equivalent):

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required. Professional certifications in project management or relevant engineering disciplines are advantageous.

Working Conditions:

This work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes, or equipment. Essential Skills/Experience:

Strong project management skills, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate project teams. Solid understanding of engineering principles and practices, with expertise in one or more engineering disciplines. Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Beneficial Skills/Experience:

Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is advantageous. Experience working in regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, or healthcare, with knowledge of relevant quality and compliance standards. Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies and tools. Knowledge of engineering software and tools used in specific industries or disciplines. Previous experience working with international teams or managing global projects.
