Unanet Consulting Manager

The Cherry Bekaert ORS - GovCon consulting team delivers exceptional technology, advisory, and support services to a variety of professional service organizations. We have deep industry expertise to support government contractors, not-for-profit organizations, and various other small to mid-sized businesses. Consultants in our practice work on a variety of engagements, from accounting department diagnostics, industry best practice and policy and procedure consulting to accounting system selection, configuration, implementation, and migration. Our services support business critical functions of Finance, Accounting, Forecasting, and Analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strong understanding of Accounting Principles (GAAP), government contracting regulations (FAR), and financial statements and transactions.

  • Demonstrated ability to apply technical expertise and accounting knowledge to client scenarios for resolution.

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate within multi-dimensional general ledger software packages.

  • Communication with clients and the internal team in a timely and professional manner.

  • Demonstrated analytical thought process and ability to communicate thoughts in logical patterns.

  • Delivery of all assignments by the deadline, at the quality standards specified.

  • Adherence to project management system protocol and utilizes internal tools and templates effectively for engagement consistency.

  • Engages with project managers and team members to quickly identify and resolve issues that arise during the engagement.

  • Experienced people manager with ability to provide coaching, feedback, and leadership to team.

  • Maintains strict adherence to client confidentiality and professional ethics.

  • Provides internal and external training related to processes and various systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree - Accounting preferred or related experience.

  • 5+ years of accounting experience working with various ERP systems.

  • 3+ years of experience in supervisory roles.

  • Advanced proficiency in administration of Unanet GovCon software.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong project management skills including development and monitoring of engagement budgets, resource management, and ability to manage work on multiple engagements with competing schedules and deadlines.

  • Proactive, innovative, adheres to deadlines, responsive to client and management requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate and communicate with other team members to achieve successful results.

  • Resolves internal and client issues with little to no supervision, communicates well and often to management.

  • Executive-level communication skills demonstrating the ability to extract relevant information from a large volume of data.

  • Exhibits strong ethics, positive attitude, and calm demeanor under pressure.

  • Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment.

Optional Desired Skills:

  • Unanet GovCon Implementation Certified

  • CPA license preferred

  • Experience with financial and ERP Systems such as Unanet GovCon, QuickBooks, Deltek, and others

  • Government Contracting knowledge

  • Project Accounting experience

The salary range for this position is $93,575 to $168,600.. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
