DIS is currently seeking a PowerBI Consultant to join our Enterprise Optimization practice.The ideal candidate will have experience in assembling and maintaining a portfolio spending related data, assessing data, and providing insights and visualizations that synthesizes findings to provide insights relating to strategic themes, priorities, dependencies, and pain points. This may include data analysis in areas such as portfolio management and risk. This is a client-facing role involving a multi-disciplinary team of government and company teammates. To succeed, the Data Consultant must possess the passion to ramp-up quickly as a value teammate, skillfully communicate and scale activities, and always meet or exceed professional expectations.

Essential Duties

The PowerBI Consultant will be responsible for:

• Operational analysis, skill deployment and balancing, reporting and analytics, and enterprise data system implementation.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Relevant professional services experience in a federal contracting context
• Demonstrated ability to:
  • Interpret and anticipate client needs, feedback, and direction
  • Understand and simplify customer requirements
  • Collect, organize, analyze, report, and visually present data
  • Use standard data base software and analytics tools, such as MS SQL and PowerBI
  • Contextualize and articulate client feedback to other teammates
• Professional experience (4 years in any combination of the following):
• Assembling data into databases, dashboards, reports, and performance reporting tools
• Shaping and analyzing data sets to gain insights and make recommendations
• Developing, recommending, and using metrics and indicators for performance monitoring related to achievement of strategic goals, objectives, and key results
• Benchmarking metrics and indicators against past performance
• Performing client-sensitive quality assurance
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in the U.S. for any employer as sponsorship is not available for this position
• Preference will be given to qualified Veteran candidates

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant experience in two or more of the following: Operational Analysis, gap analysis, Data visualization, IT investment portfolio analysis, and/or SW product management
• 2-4+ years management consulting experience, ideally with the public sector
• Bachelor's in Business, Data Analytics, Public Administration, or similar degree, or equivalent work experience
• Proven experience eliciting requirements and developing models, flows and SOPs
• Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools; intermediate-levels skill with Excel and either Power BI or Tableau are Day One skills
• Experience in generating process documentation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills
• Strong client relationship-building skills, capacity, and interest

Salary is commensurate with experience.
