Robert Half Accountant in Valencia, California

Description

A Manufactuing company in Valencia is seeking an experienced Accountant to join the team. This role involves a range of fiscal and compliance duties to ensure all financial transactions within the organization are accounted for accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in managing the full cycle of accounting duties, excellent attention to detail, and a strong understanding of accounting principles and legislation.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide end-to-end accounting operations for the company, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and tax-related tasks.

  • Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Carry out regular financial analysis and provide financial reports to management.

  • Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting.

  • Evaluate and enforce internal fiscal controls and procedures.

  • Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report.

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax filings and reporting.

  • Coordinate activities with external auditors.

  • Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.

  • Assist with various projects as needed.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role in a business environment.

  • Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures, including GAAP.

  • Experience using financial software and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills.

  • Good problem-solving abilities and capacity to work well in a team.

  • Demonstrable leadership qualities, and professional ethics.

  • Strong planner with business awareness and ability to multitask.
