JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, Department of Geosciences is looking for an Undergraduate Research Assistant.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Sample powdering and weighing

• Vapor-solid equilibration experiments to determine the non-exchangeable hydrogen isotope composition of organic materials

• Routine data acquisition, quality assurance, and processing of high-temperature pyrolysis–isotope ratio mass spectrometry analyses

  The student will be trained in the safe and effective use of all techniques. If desired, the student may develop an independent research project in collaboration with Dr. Reimink.
