WISCONSIN DEPT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS Certified Nursing Assistant - LTE, UG in UNION GROVE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: CNAs at WVHUG provide direct and indirect patient care, following standards set by the American Nurses Association; gerontological nursing practice; federal, state and Veterans Administration regulations; and the mission, philosophy, policies and procedures of this agency. Job duties include providing care per a written care plan to help meet the needs of WVHUG members, including care for members with dementia. CNAs work as an integral part of the health care team, under the direction of licensed nursing staff, with limited supervision by a Nursing Supervisor. Core Shifts Available AM 1st Shift - 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. PM 2nd Shift - 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. NOC 3rd Shift - 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. **LTEs may work partial shifts on request.** Job duties require the ability to assist in patient mobility efforts, stand and/or walk up to 75% of eight-hour day to provide assessments, kneel, stoop, make visual observations, lift, push, pull, carry, reach, maintain hygiene, use special safety equipment, and wear protective clothing. See the job description for more information. Due to the nature of the position, WDVA will conduct a criminal background check prior to an offer of employment. Employment in this position is contingent upon passing a pre-employment tuberculosis (TB) skin test. Employees at this healthcare facility will be required to report their COVID-19 vaccination status, whether vaccinated or not, and provide supporting documentation if vaccinated. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Minimally qualified applicants will be certified or eligible for certification as a Nurse Aide in the State of Wisconsin and be eligible to work in a federally certified nursing home as a CNA.
