Job Description:

The Sr Supervisor, Operations Management position will be responsible for supervising a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations. Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Work will be conducted in a climate controlled manufacturing space.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervise assembly and wiring operations, from set-up and start to completion of assembly and wiring of sub-assemblies and end items in accordance with data, documentation and instructions provided.

  • Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.

  • Plans and administers procedures and budgets.

  • Makes budgetary recommendations and at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.

  • Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

  • Enforce, follow, and understand all rules of EH&S, Quality, DCMA, OSHA, and MSDS.

  • Communicate with team members for the efficient and quality production of each unit.

  • Plans and establishes operational objectives for a team with moderate impact on the achievement of department results.

  • Assigns tasks, peer reviews and provides training.

  • Does not have budget or Profit & Loss (P&L) accountability, but may manage day-to-day elements of the budget (e.g., overtime for staff).

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Supervises lower level professionals and/or higher level support.

  • Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.

  • Knowledgable at point to point wiring.

  • Working knowledge of Mil Specs as applicable to workmanship.

  • Ability to read and comprehend such data and documentation as commonly employed by the company as detail work instructions, process sheets with reference drawings.

  • Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and bend.

  • Ability to work on stepladders.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without assistance, have normal vision or corrected with eyeglasses or contact lenses.

  • Working knowledge of tools, measuring and test equipment, wire cutting tools, crimpers, luggers, strippers, ferruling tools, impact wrenches/drills, drill motors, plug gauges, thread gauges, depth gauges, calipers, pressure gauges, micrometers, torque wrenches and ohmmeter

  • Ability to work overtime, including weekends

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years prior Electronic or Electro-Mechanical Assembly Supervisor/Lead experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior Electronic or Electro-Mechanical Assembly Supervisor/Lead experience.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
