An Engineer Associate is needed for a world class utility company in the Tulsa, OK area. This engineering position involves ing technical expertise, coordinating tasks, problem-solving, effective communication, and demonstrating business awareness to contribute to project planning and execution under the guidance of higher-level engineers.

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

  • Assists higher-level engineers in handling portions of more complex problems.

  • Demonstrates understanding of relevant standards, codes, and regulations.

  • Coordinates work activities of others to resolve routine engineering tasks.

  • Provides input to routine project planning documents.

  • Actively seeks out information and understanding of engineering problems.

  • Develops decision-making skills under guidance and makes routine decisions subject to review.

  • Contributes to team decision-making processes.

  • Assists in the preparation of reports and technical papers.

  • Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing.

  • Listens to and understands instructions, seeking clarification as required.

Education and Experience:

  • Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination in preparation for future licensing as a Professional Engineer (PE) is encouraged and preferred.

  • ABET - Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.

Acceptable alternatives are:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET), plus a Professional Engineers (PE) license in any state of the U.S. or

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a Master's degree or PhD in engineering from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program.
