Robert Half PT Bookkeeper (Non-Profit) in Tucson, Arizona

Description

A reputable non-profit organization actively seeking a competent and dedicated part-time Bookkeeper with a strong understanding of QuickBooks Online and book closing processes. This position is initially on a contract-to-hire basis, with the potential for full-time employment based on performance and organizational needs. As it is part-time, the role required 20 -25 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the organization's financial records and transactions, including receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll.

  • Regularly update and maintain financial records using QuickBooks Online.

  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly and year-end closings of the organization's financial books.

  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure financial data accuracy.

  • Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve any discrepancies.

  • Develop financial reports for management as needed.

  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, replying to emails, answering phone calls, and other tasks as assigned.

  • Adhere to the organization's financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

    Requirements

  • Prior bookkeeping experience of at least 2 years.

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is mandatory.

  • Familiarity with book closing processes.

  • Strong numerical proficiency and attention to detail.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities.

  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Adept at administrative tasks and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • An associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or relevant field is desired.

Hours: 20-25 hours per week
