Job Description

OCI's Network Capacity TPMs use reports, dashboards, forecasts, and models to monitor and manage OCI's global Cloud network capacity. This TPM would use data available to kick off a network augment via our augment process. This team is responsible for monitoring all layers of the global cloud network including but not limited to the backbone, internet, metro/dwdm, virtualized capacity, and various fabrics within a data center. Experience and understanding of how traffic passes through various network layers are necessary to be effective in this role.

In addition, members of this team support forecasting hardware demands and funding to support network augments, and working with internal and external customers to validate network demands.

This team will also partner with our development and data science teams to continue to improve reports, dashboards, forecasts, and models used to manage capacity.

Responsibilities

Qualifications:

• Networking experience , preferably in cloud network

• Experience of various network layers and routing

• Backbone and internet connectivity existing a region, metro and datacenter fabrics within a region

• Understanding of how traffic passes through various network layers

• Comfortable with Jira & Confluence to manage/receive work and document results or similar products

• Working and partnering with internal team and potentially working with external customers to understand networking requirements

• Taking above requirements and analyzing network capabilities to support

• Comfortable approving internal & external customer asks

• Experience in forecasting network augment hardware needs and supported funding

US: Hiring Range: from $87,800 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
