The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, andNutrition, McGovern Medical SchoolatUTHealth Houston is recruiting an Assistant Professor, focusing on Transplant Hepatology.

Position Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and evolve the growth of our liver disease clinical program which in turn will expand the liver transplant pool and support clinical investigative programs within theErtan Digestive Disease Center at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center and UTHealth Houston.

  • Develop relationships and clinical activities in partner facilities within theMemorial Hermann systemwith a concentration on providing Hepatology expertise and transplant evaluations in areas where we currently do not have a clinical presence.

  • Develop between two to three new transplant hepatology clinics at target locations in theTexas Medical Centerand the Houston area.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have an M.D. degree, be board certified and be eligible for licensure in the State of Texas, and a graduate of an ACGME hepatology fellowship program.
