What You Will Do

As a Site Safety Manager you will be primarily responsible for onsite safety efforts for the Prim Control’s customer site, as well as administration and execution of Prime Controls' ES&H Programs as contracted by scope.

A Typical Day at Prime Controls

  • Promote Prime Controls' award-winning “Safety Culture” and "Standards".

  • Observe safe work practices and present opportunities for improvement. Mentor employees and encourage their safe work practices, following Stop Work Authority.

  • Generate, observe, inspect, and close job permits, audits, toolboxes, work safe observations, orientations.

  • Perform health and safety program auditing.

  • Assist in incident investigations and emergency response.

  • Attend safety meetings and convey information to the project team and corporate.

  • Complete other projects as assigned.

    What You Will Bring

    The Basic

  • 3 Years experience with similar project size and construction type.

  • Certifications: Safety Professionals must possess at least one of the following Certifications:

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)

  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP)

  • Construction Health and Safety Technologist (CHST)

  • Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST)

  • Graduate or Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)

  • Safety Trained Supervisor – Construction (STS-C)

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in EHS discipline or EHS-related field

  • Training: Safety Professionals must have successfully completed at least one of the following trainings (undertaken in the last 3 years);

  • NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma (EU and Asia)

  • OSHA 30-hour Construction Industry Outreach Training course (US)

  • Able to pass a 7-year background check

  • Experience working with a large subcontractor force

  • Applicable working knowledge of TRIR and EMR

  • Exhibit integrity, flexibility, initiative, and adherence to company policies and programs always

  • Clear and concise communications, both written and oral

  • Ability to effectively work with in all levels or divisions on-site, in meetings and within Prime Controls

  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office applications and emails

  • Willingness to travel
