Baylor Scott and White Health is seeking an outstanding academic PRN, Board Certified Intensivist to join the Division of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery , within the Department of Surgery in Temple, TX . This is an employed career opportunity with a generous benefits package that offers work-life balance, a competitive salary, productivity bonus, and no state income tax.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine (Surgery, Anesthesiology or Pulmonary)

  • Have a minimum of 3-10 years of successful CT ICU experience at a high-volume cardiovascular surgery program

  • Experience in an academic setting is preferred

The ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of adult cardiac surgery and expected to contribute to the growth and development of disease based programs in partnership with the Divisions of Cardiology and Vascular Surgery. We are actively involved in medical student and resident education. Academic appointment at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor through Baylor College of Medicine will be determined by experience and qualifications. The Division also has an active research program and is committed to supporting the right individual develop his / her research interest as well as clinical career.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Doctorate Degree in Medicine

  • Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board

  • Where Applicable - Employee shall be currently board certified in his or her speciality or demonstrate board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists
