The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Job Summary:

This AVP role is in the Information Technology of the Americas (ITA) division of MUFG Bank, Ltd reporting to the Vice President of ITA Regulatory Engagement. The role will focus on assisting ITA leaders with managing responses to regulatory inquiries and other regulatory engagements. The AVP will accomplish this by acting as an advisor and providing subject matter leadership to executives and other stakeholders in the areas of regulatory engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a subject matter expertise of MUFG regulatory issue management and engagement management procedures.

  • Coordinate with MUFG’s Regulatory Operations and Affairs Office to understand the requirements of regulatory engagements.

  • Liaise across ITA divisions to develop coordinated responses to complex regulatory inquiries (exams and ad hoc requests).

  • Provide review and challenge to ensure responses to regulatory inquiries are complete and accurate.

  • Advise issue remediation project teams on regulatory issue management procedures.

  • Lead meetings with executives and other key stakeholders to resolve complex regulatory issues.

  • Assist with reporting regulatory response status to executives and other key stakeholders.

  • Develop productive professional relationships with executives and key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in an IT related field.

  • 2 plus years of experience in Financial Services, preferably in Information Technology, IT Risk Management, IT Internal Audit or related areas.

  • Broad understanding of Information Technology.

  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

  • Strong ability to drive complex discussions with Executives and other stakeholders.

  • Ability to influence key stakeholders across various units of ITA.

  • Proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.

  • Experience managing/tracking projects.

  • Ability to work in the New Jersey or Tempe office 4 days a week.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestically.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $88K - $111K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
