Verdantas is a national consulting group seeking a talented Geologist to join our team in our Tampa, FL office.

Responsibilities:

• Performs field tasks, including data collection, measurements, excavation observation

• Prepares field notes and related documentation in accordance with company standards

• Operation and maintenance of remediation system

• Maintains Excel databases associated with regulatory compliance

• Assists with preparing regulatory submittals, such as permit applications and plans

• Oversees well installations and soil borings

• Collects groundwater, soil, sediment, air, and surface water samples

• Retrieves necessary data using online databases, off-line records, or other means

• Enters collected data into report format using applicable software and company formatting guidelines

• Applies basic knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and regulatory programs

• Assists with on-call emergency projects on occasion

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Chemistry, or Environmental Engineering (or related discipline)

• 2-4 years of relevant experience

• Must be willing to travel

• Ability to use GIS Arc ProGIS

• GIT is a plus

• Ability to conduct fieldwork with some heavy lifting

• Proficient with MS Office suite of products

• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training a plus

• Previous consulting experience is a plus

• Must have a personal vehicle for independent transportation to work sites
